Introduction

ProcureSmart is a specialist in energy solutions for SMEs. Businesses that often lack the time or resources to navigate shifting tariffs and supplier terms. They came to us with a bold idea: a digital platform that would remove friction from the procurement process and give small businesses the clarity and confidence to make better energy decisions. That platform became Switch Savvi.

The Challenge

Energy procurement is genuinely complex, and most small business owners aren't energy experts. The platform needed to make sense instantly, no jargon, no training required. At the same time, comparing suppliers and tariffs is inherently messy, so the interface had to guide users through each step without overwhelming them. The goal was to make a technical process feel simple, approachable, and genuinely helpful.

What I Did

I led the UX work from discovery through to design and prototyping. I ran discovery workshops with stakeholders to understand how SMEs currently navigate energy procurement, then analysed those findings alongside market research to identify the key pain points and opportunities. From there I created wireframes and prototypes focused on clear, step-by-step flows, guiding users from inputting their business needs through to comparing tariffs and switching suppliers in as few clicks as possible.
